Redundancy protection

High availability (HA) system redundancy

The high availability function allows data to be stored in two sets of the same model and configuration of the Thecus network storage device (NAS) system. If the device system in use needs offline maintenance or cannot provide service due to any factors, the other system will immediately undertake the task to make the service uninterrupted and ensure the uninterrupted data availability.

Dual DOM OS redundancy

Even if it is an abnormal shutdown behavior, it may also cause unexpected loss of system data, which is a potential crisis of precious commercial data. The design of dual disk on module (DOM) not only ensures data security, but also makes backup for operating system settings to ensure smooth and uninterrupted system operation of the cus network storage device (NAS).

RAID disk array drive redundancy

Disk array is the most efficient data protection technology nowadays. The use of multiple hard disks to form a disk array can not only increase efficiency, but also protect important data when some hard disks fail. Compared with storing files on optical disks only, memory device or single hard disk is more reliable.

When data security needs to be managed at different levels, Thecus network storage device (NAS) has multiple modes to choose from, including RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, 60 and JBOD. Thercus network storage device (NAS) supports multiple raid volumes to run on a single system. Users can choose the disk array mode according to their needs, such as optimal performance or different data protection modes.

802.3and redundancy

There are two ways to achieve efficient and uninterrupted network communication. The first way is to use 802.3ad to increase the bandwidth through the aggregation of multiple networks to increase transmission efficiency. The second is that when the primary network is disconnected due to a fault, the backup network will automatically undertake the transmission task so that it can operate continuously without interruption.

Redundant power supply

For important services that cannot be interrupted or require long-time operation, data loss or work delay caused by power failure is unbearable. The second power supply system can be used as a hot standby power supply, which can take over the work immediately in case of accident of the original power module, and provide data and security guard for system operation.

System fan redundancy

Thecus keeps thinking about the possibility of any progress and provides customers with comprehensive data security measures. Even the cooling system also has the choice of double protection. The redundant second backup fan of the system fan provides uninterrupted thermal protection to ensure the long-term operation of the Thecus network storage device (NAS).
